Terms of service
These terms are an agreement between you and SOSOFRESH SRL (“alexandr”, “we”), Str. Drumul Gura Calitei nr. 43, Bucharest, Romania, Reg. Com. J2015010207406 · CUI / VAT RO34902520. They cover the alexandr desktop app, workspaces we host in our cloud, your alexandr account and anything you buy from us. Using any of them means you accept these terms.
1. What alexandr is
alexandr is an AI assistant and workspace for individuals and teams. A workspace holds your files, chats and apps; the assistant works inside it with the AI model you choose. A workspace runs in our cloud, on your own computer through the desktop app, or — on an Enterprise agreement — inside your organization’s infrastructure.
- An alexandr account is required. Every workspace signs in through our cloud before it serves anyone.
- Running a workspace on your own computer is free during the beta. Workspaces in our cloud are paid, as described below and on the pricing page.
2. Workspaces in our cloud
- A workspace in our cloud is billed per seat, monthly, at the price on the pricing page. A seat is a member, billed from the day they join; an invite costs nothing until it is accepted. Seats added or removed during the month are prorated on the next invoice.
- If a payment fails, we email the workspace’s owner and the workspace keeps running for 14 days. If it is still unpaid then, the workspace is paused until the invoice is paid. A workspace still unpaid 30 days after it was paused is deleted, after a final email.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card details.
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT. Where VAT applies, it is added at checkout according to where you are and whether you buy as a business: a business in the EU with a valid VAT number outside Romania is invoiced without VAT (reverse charge).
- You cancel in the Alexandr app, from the workspace’s settings; the workspace runs to the end of the period you paid for. Subscription payments are not refunded, except a charge made in error and an EU consumer’s 14-day right to withdraw from a new subscription — the details are in our refund and cancellation policy.
- Your files, chats and apps stay yours. We store them only to run your workspace, as the privacy policy describes.
3. AI credits
- A workspace can pay for the assistant’s AI with credits: 100 credits for each US dollar, bought in advance in the Alexandr app or on your account page. Each request uses credits according to the model and how much it reads and writes; the app shows the workspace’s balance and what each member used.
- Credits belong to the workspace that bought them. They cannot be moved to another workspace, exchanged for money or resold, and they do not expire while the workspace exists.
- Prices exclude VAT, as for workspaces in our cloud. Each purchase comes with an invoice.
- A member who connects their own Claude or ChatGPT subscription is billed by that provider, under its terms; that use costs no credits.
- Credits are not refunded, except a purchase made in error and an EU consumer’s 14-day right to withdraw — the details are in our refund and cancellation policy.
4. Deleting a workspace
A workspace’s owner can delete it from its settings. Deleting ends its plan at once, deletes its files, chats and apps, and loses its unused credits. Neither the rest of the month already paid for nor the unused credits are refunded — export what you need first, or cancel instead and keep the workspace until the end of the period.
5. What you may not do
- Sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app or the runtime image.
- Offer alexandr to other people as a hosted service — running it for your own team is fine.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or extract the source of the app or the runtime, or work around the sign-in or billing. alexandr is closed source.
- Use it to break the law, to harm others, to break the usage policies of the AI provider whose model you use, or to attack our service or other users.
6. Your data
What we collect, why, and who processes it for us is in the privacy policy. In short: we keep your account and billing records, and use what is in your workspaces only to run them.
7. Beta means beta
- alexandr is in beta. Things will break, and releases will change how things work. The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, and we are not liable for loss or damage arising from its use — to the extent the law allows.
- Keep backups. The app snapshots before every update; please still keep your own copy of anything you can’t lose.
- We may change these terms, change what is free, or end the beta. When we do, we tell you by email first, with time to decide what you want to do.
8. Your account
One person, one account. Keep your sign-in to yourself. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or harms the service — and we’ll say why. You can leave at any time: ask us on the help page and we will delete your account; what is on your own computer stays yours.
9. Enterprise and on-premise
A deployment our team runs inside your organization’s infrastructure is covered by its own agreement, not by these terms. See Enterprise.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, and the courts of Bucharest decide any dispute. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protection your own country’s mandatory law gives you, and you may also go to its courts.
